If you are planning on getting pregnant then the best preparation is to seek obstetric care before conception. At Dr. Gimpelevich, OBGYN in Norcross, Georgia, we specialize in preparing women for pregnancy and delivery.

Our General Recommendations

All women of childbearing age should supplement their diet with at least 400 micrograms of folic acid per day. We also encourage maintaining healthy lifestyle choices such as proper diet, weight, regular exercise, and eliminating harmful elements such as tobacco, alcohol, and recreational drugs.

Ways We Assist
Our knowledgeable OB/GYN, Dr. Gimpelevich will assist in diagnosing and managing your pregnancy and all of your prenatal care including high-risk pregnancies. Our qualified medical staff also provides in-office ultrasound, bloodwork, and counseling.

We also manage VBAC deliveries known as Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Delivery. This option is available for qualified patients. In general, women who have had one previous natural childbirth will qualify for a VBAC. We will counsel you on the benefits and risks of choosing a VBAC versus Cesarean Delivery.
Dr. Gimpelevich can also perform External Cephalic Version (ECV) which is a procedure that allows a physician to turn the baby inside the uterus from a bottom-down position to head-down position.  Generally performed in a hospital setting, this procedure utilizes an ultrasound to monitor the well-being of the fetus as the physican moves the baby within the uterus.
